A Quick Fix For Broken Stair Treads

Have you got broken stairs that need repairing? We had a broken stair treat that we kept falling into but figured a quick fix which worked like a charm! Checkout this video for a step by step demonstration or follow the below instructions to get your stairs fixed!

1: Remove any carpet and clean the stairs with an air duster spray or wet cloth

2: Use a rope or a thick string and a screwdriver to pull the edge of the stair thread up. Watch the above video for a demonstration on how to do this

3: Apply wood glue to stick the two pieces together

4: Pull the rope up

5: Apply more wood glue on top and allow to dry overnight

6: Fill any deep cracks with Polly Filla 

7: Grab two metal Ls and screw them in securely, one on each side (remove any skirting if its in the way)

8: Test it out. Make sure its secure enough to hold your weight
